This lampshade was created to bring them back into the light.

At Coolbee, we design objects that help people live with meaning — gently, without noise. The Cities & Maps lampshade exists to turn personal geography into atmosphere, transforming ordinary light into a reflection of your journey.

Each shade is thoughtfully composed using maps, cities, regions, or flags that matter to you. Places you come from. Places you miss. Places that changed you — or places you dream of reaching one day. The design becomes a visual rhythm of memory and intention, carefully balanced so every element feels considered, never random.

When lit, the maps soften. Lines blur gently into warmth. The glow feels calm and grounding — like tracing a familiar route with your eyes. What once lived only in your thoughts now lives in your space, quietly reminding you of where you’ve been and where you’re going.

After it finds its place, the room shifts.

• Personalized lampshade featuring up to 4 maps (for Small size) and up to 8 maps (for Large size) of your choice

• Same city or region shown in different areas, styles, or color tones — or entirely different locations

• Map shapes can be square, circular, or custom

• Maps can be combined with flags, personal photos, or short texts

• High-quality UV printing for clarity, depth, and long-lasting detail

• Handmade with care in Etterbeek (Brussels), Belgium

• Available sizes:

  • Small: Ø 20 cm × H 18 cm

  • Medium: Ø 30 cm × H 21 cm

  • Large: Ø 40 cm × H 25 cm

• Designed as a desk lamp by default; hanging version available on request

• Shade colours: white, grey, or cream (white interior); other tones available upon request

• Standard bulb socket

• Lamp bulb and stand/base sold separately
